MY STORY

Hi, I'm Dr. Jane, a GP, certified Health Coach, and mum of two based in Edinburgh. I help women in their midlife, whether it's weight changes, burnout, or hormonal shifts, reconnect with their health and wellbeing in a way that’s compassionate, evidence-based, and most importantly sustainable. I also work with organisations to deliver wellbeing programmes that support people holistically, not just professionally.

My background is rooted in extensive medical training and a deep desire to make a difference. I studied Medicine at the University of Edinburgh, graduating with Honours (an award given only to the top 10% of medical students each year), having previously gained a First-Class Honours degree in Chemistry, also from Edinburgh University. I’ve earned a Diploma in Women’s Health from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (DRCOG), reflecting my ongoing commitment to women's health, and

I’ve worked as a GP in and around Edinburgh for over three years.

 

It was my own experience with burnout that made me realise I needed to take a new path, as juggling the demands of medicine, motherhood, and my husband's serious health issues had seriously impacted my own physical and mental health. During my GP training I discovered the power of Lifestyle Medicine: a branch of medicine that focuses on the prevention, treatment and reversal of chronic deseases by addressing their root causes through healthy lifestyle habits. For me this was the way forward and I decided to train as a Health Coach. I wanted to help myself and others not just deal with burnout and chronic lifestyle-related conditions, but hopefully avoid them altogether.

I now run 1-2-1 sessions and small group online coaching programmes focused on midlife health and weight loss, where support, education, and community come together to create lasting change.

 

My approach is rooted in self-compassion and kindness - because lasting health doesn’t come from punishment or perfectionism, but from understanding and empowerment.

​

Alongside my clinical and coaching work, I also partner with companies to create bespoke corporate wellbeing programmes, helping teams reduce stress, prevent burnout, and build healthier habits that last.
